Gentle pieces need gentle care—protect your favorites with these simple tips.
Well-made nightwear is delicate by nature. But “delicate” doesn’t mean high-maintenance—it just means thoughtful care.
Here’s my no-fuss, designer-approved guide to keeping your nightwear looking (and feeling) like new:
1. Hand Wash When You Can
It may seem old-fashioned, but a quick soak in cool water with a gentle detergent can extend the life of your pieces dramatically. Avoid harsh soaps—they can damage stretch fibers and lace.
2. Use a Mesh Bag for Machine Washing
Too busy to hand wash? Totally fine. Just use a mesh laundry bag and wash on a gentle cycle with cool water. Fasten hooks and avoid washing with heavy items like jeans.
3. Air Dry Only
Heat is the enemy of elasticity. Lay your nightwear flat to dry, or hang them—but never put them in the dryer. Even one spin can warp shape and weaken stitching.
4. Store With Care
Stack molded bras to preserve cup shape. Use drawer dividers or fabric boxes to prevent tangling. And keep pieces out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
When you care for your clothing, it returns the favor—by supporting you day in and day out, just like it should.
